In 2014, a new project was launched by OAHA.
An Archives Committee was created to acquire and process documents
and objects related to the history of the Oxford Area. To date, over
3300 publications, artifacts, maps, research materials, personal
records, and audio-visual materials have been processed and recorded
in our database. A committed group of volunteers works to catalog
the items we are collecting. Through the generous donations of
individuals, we have been able to rent part of a building at 140-142
Locust St. to house our growing collection. Videos of our programs
and recorded oral histories are also available at this site. Our goal is
to create displays and to be a community resource where people can
research local history.
Our Archives volunteers are currently working Tuesday and Wednesday mornings
from 9:00 to 12:00.
The official registration and financial information of OAHA may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department
of State by calling toll-free, within Pennsylvania, 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
